A 10-language QR menu for restaurants in the Canary Islands
Many restaurants on the islands are run by owners from the UK, Germany, Italy or the Netherlands, serving guests from everywhere. MenuDoro shows each table the menu in its own language and sends the ticket to your kitchen in the language your team works in.

Built for tourist areas
- Staff stop translating dishes by hand. Guests read the description, allergens and price in their own language and order when they are ready.
- In high season tables don't wait for someone to take the order; they can also ask for another round or the bill from their phone.
- The kitchen gets every order in writing: table, dishes and the guest's note exactly as written.
Choose your kitchen language
If your menu is in English but your kitchen team is Spanish, the kitchen screen can show tickets in Spanish, or any of the 10 languages.
Price with tax included
The price you see is final. The Canaries use IGIC rather than VAT; Stripe processes the payment as the seller and handles the tax inside that price. Ask your accountant if you are unsure about your situation.
Who visits the Canary Islands
- 18.4 million tourists arrived in the Canaries in 2025 (FRONTUR, ISTAC). The UK accounted for 6.31 million and Germany for 2.82 million, followed by mainland Spain (2.05 million), France (0.95 million), Ireland (0.86 million), Italy (0.83 million), the Netherlands (0.76 million) and Poland (0.62 million).
- English, German, French, Italian and Polish are among MenuDoro's 10 languages; Dutch and the Nordic languages aren't, so those guests see English.
Allergens: what Spanish law requires
- Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 requires the 14 allergens to be declared for non-prepacked food too. Spain's Royal Decree 126/2015 sets the detail for restaurants: the information must be in writing (menu, sign or another medium, including electronic), or, if given verbally, it must also exist in writing on the premises and be available to the guest.
- In practice: mark allergens on every dish and keep an up-to-date allergen matrix for the team.
How it works
- Upload your menu as PDF, Excel or text (or send it to us and we upload it for free). Review it and publish.
- MenuDoro translates it into 10 languages: English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Greek and Chinese.
- Print one QR code per table. Guests scan it with their camera, no app to download, and see the menu in their language.
- They order from their phone. The ticket reaches the kitchen screen in your language, with table and dishes in writing.
Frequently asked questions
- Do guests need an app?
- No. They scan the table QR with their camera and the menu opens in the browser, already in their language.
- Can I change dishes every day?
- Yes. Change dishes, prices and availability whenever you like; translations update automatically.
- Is it worth it for a small bar?
- There's no new till or printer to buy: your menu, printed QR codes and one phone or tablet are enough.
