A multilingual QR menu for Algarve restaurants
Summer in the Algarve means full terraces, British, German, Dutch and Spanish guests at neighbouring tables, and seasonal staff who don't speak all of those languages. MenuDoro covers the menu and the ordering part.

Seasonal staff, same quality
New staff don't need to memorise every dish in four languages. Guests read the menu themselves and orders arrive in writing.
Fish and seafood, explained
Cataplana, grilled sardines or percebes need a short explanation for many visitors. Add it once in Portuguese or English and it appears in every language, along with the allergens (fish, crustaceans, molluscs).
No lock-in
Use the monthly plan in season and cancel when you close for winter.
Who visits the Algarve
- The Algarve had 25.4% of Portugal's overnight stays in 2025 and the largest share of non-resident nights (28.1%) (INE via Lusa).
- It's the region most dependent on one market: the UK made up 34.4% of non-resident nights (INE). In Q4 2025, 82.1% of the region's nights were by non-residents.
- Dutch guests are common in the Algarve too; Dutch isn't one of our languages, so they see English.
Allergens: the legal basis
Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 also covers non-prepacked food: the 14 allergens in Annex II must be available to the guest. Portugal's Decree-Law 26/2016 sets how: the information must be easily accessible (written, visual, electronic or otherwise); in restaurants it may be kept out of view if guests are clearly told how to get it. Mark them on each dish and keep the written information on the premises.
How it works
- Upload your menu as PDF, Excel or text (or send it to us and we upload it for free). Review it and publish.
- MenuDoro translates it into 10 languages: English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Greek and Chinese.
- Print one QR code per table. Guests scan it with their camera, no app to download, and see the menu in their language.
- They order from their phone. The ticket reaches the kitchen screen in your language, with table and dishes in writing.
Frequently asked questions

- Does it need special hardware?
- No. A phone, tablet or computer with a browser runs the kitchen screen.
- How long does setup take?
- An afternoon. Or send us your menu and we'll upload it for free.
