MenuDoro

Questions from restaurant owners

Short answers about MenuDoro, the QR menu your guests use to order from the table in their own language.

How does ordering from the table work?

Each table has its own QR code. Guests scan it, see the menu in their language, add dishes to the table's shared basket and send it. The order appears on the kitchen screen with the table number and notes. They can also call a waiter or ask for the bill from their phone.

Do guests need to download an app?

No. They scan the table QR with their camera and the menu opens in the phone's browser, already in their language.

Which languages can guests order in?

English, Spanish, German, French, Polish, Russian, Portuguese, Greek, Chinese and Italian. The menu, filters and buttons switch to the guest's language. Dishes are translated when you upload or edit them, and you can correct any translation.

How is it different from a PDF behind a QR code?

A PDF is a single file in one language, hard to read on a phone, and nobody can order from it. With MenuDoro the menu fits the screen and the guest's language, guests filter by allergen, diet or budget, and orders go straight to the kitchen. Changing a price or hiding a sold-out dish takes seconds.

Can I use my existing menu?

Yes. Upload it as a PDF or Excel file, or paste the text. Check the draft, publish, then change dishes and prices whenever you like. Photos of a printed menu won't work: use the file you print it from. You don't need links to dish photos either: add the photos later from your panel, dish by dish.

Is the translation automatic?

Yes. When you upload the menu or edit a dish, it's translated into all ten languages. You can correct any translation by hand.

How are allergens shown?

You mark the 14 EU allergens on each dish, plus alcohol. MenuDoro flags any that seem to be missing, but you decide. Guests can hide dishes with allergens they avoid, and the kitchen ticket carries a warning when a table has an allergy. The menu reminds guests with a serious allergy to confirm with the staff.

Do I need special hardware or a till integration?

No. The kitchen screen runs in the browser on any tablet, computer or phone, and you print the QR codes on paper or stickers. MenuDoro works alongside your till. It doesn't replace it.

Do guests pay through MenuDoro?

No. They pay at your restaurant as usual, in cash or by card. MenuDoro handles the menu and the orders, and takes no commission on orders.

What if I don't have a website?

You don't need one. You get your own menudoro.com link and table QR codes to print. That's all you need to start.

Is the first month really free?

Yes. Verify your phone number and you get 30 days free, no card needed. If you don't choose a plan, your menu is paused and nothing is charged. After that it's €79.90/month or €598.80/year (works out at €49.90/month, VAT included).

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes, in Plan & billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for and isn’t renewed. No contract, no setup fee and no extra charges: everything is included.

What happens to guest data?

Guests don't create accounts and we don't use advertising trackers. We keep only what's needed to handle orders, and you can delete the restaurant and all its data whenever you like. The details are in the privacy notice.

How do the Google reviews work?

Paste your Google listing link in Settings. When a guest asks for the bill on their phone, they see a thank-you message with a button to leave a review. They can simply close it. Everyone sees the same message, with no filtering.
