A QR menu in 10 languages for Lisbon restaurants
From Alfama to Cais do Sodré, a small tasca can serve guests from a dozen countries in one evening. MenuDoro lets them read the menu in their language and order from the table, while the kitchen gets tickets in Portuguese.

Explaining Portuguese dishes
Bacalhau à Brás, bifanas or arroz de pato mean little to a first-time visitor. MenuDoro keeps the original name and adds a translated description, so guests order with confidence.
Small rooms, few staff
In a small dining room, one person often cooks, serves and takes payment. Orders that arrive in writing from each table free up that time.
Who visits Lisbon
- Greater Lisbon had 23.9% of all overnight stays in Portugal in 2025 (INE). In Q4 2025, 79% of nights in the region were by non-residents, and the US was the top foreign market (17.3%).
- Nationally the UK led (17.3% of non-resident nights), followed by Germany (11.8%), Spain (9.4%) and the US (9.1%).
Allergens: the legal basis
Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 also covers non-prepacked food: the 14 allergens in Annex II must be available to the guest. Portugal's Decree-Law 26/2016 sets how: the information must be easily accessible (written, visual, electronic or otherwise); in restaurants it may be kept out of view if guests are clearly told how to get it. Mark them on each dish and keep the written information on the premises.
